Hair Loss treatments beyond Rogaine ®
Hair loss is a common condition that affects both men and women. There are several treatment options available for hair loss, including topical and oral medications. Among these medications are common treatments including Minoxidil, Dutasteride, and Spironolactone. We often use these topical and oral medications in conjunction with True Hair Therapy™. Simply put, although many of these medications have been on the market for quite a while now, they often work synergistically with our proprietary treatment of the future.

Can I use minoxidil or Rogaine ® to grow my eyelashes
Oral minoxidil is a medication that was first approved by the FDA for treating high blood pressure in 1979. Hair growth was one of the major side effects found in minoxidil. The hair growth happens everywhere, not just the scalp and body but even areas such as the genitals, eyebrows, and eyelashes. As a result, the topical form of minoxidil, Rogaine ®, was formulated for minoxidil to be applied topically. Since then, dermatologists have started to use not only low dose oral minoxidil but also injectable forms of minoxidil into the scalp directly to maximize hair growth because of the limitations of using topical minoxidil.

What causes hair loss?
Find out the root cause of your hair loss and treatments available. Male and female pattern hair loss occurs in over 50% of men and 25% of women by 50 years of age. Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease that affects anagen hair follicles. Telogen effluvium, characterized by temporary excessive shedding of hair, may occur in response to a shock to the body. Lichen planopilaris is an inflammatory condition that affects the hair follicles, leading to patchy permanent hair loss.
